Hi, I’m Tomer Avital, graduate of cohort 02. I am a journalist, teach writing and activism workshops, lecture at the kibbutzim seminar and the interdisciplinary center and also the author of the suspense book ‘The Mishkan’ (published by Am Oved). I founded “Shakuf”, a media outlet that is fully and directly owned by the public, and operates under its direction with the aim of providing biting, independent and in-depth journalism.
In my spare time I help people spice up their routine with thought-provoking pieces of poetry and art (google poetry snacks!).
Co. Lab for me is the micro that makes me fall in love with the Israeli cosmos. I met people there from all sectors who opened my mind, among others Yossi Bar. When I got married as part of the TV show Hatunami, and I saw him from the canopy sitting there in the audience smiling with his daughter – I was very excited.
Thanks to Co. lab, I also met Yoni Chona, thanks to whom I investigated how bullying in schools destroys Israeli politics in a podcast we recorded recently.
