Yaqub, the Head of the Leadership Department at Givat Haviva, and formerly the Co-Director of Public Affairs at the Abraham Initiatives, where he works to advance integration and equality for Palestinian- Israeli citizens. Prior to this position, he was a reporter for the Knesset Channel in Channel 2. Yaqub is the founder of the nonprofit organization Salametcom (Be Well) providing assistance for thousands of Palestinians who are hospitalized in hospitals in East Jerusalem and in different other hospitals in Israel. Yaqub holds an LLB, a B.A. in Communication and Journalism, and LLM from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is also a graduate of many social programs, such as Seeds of Peace for negotiating and bridging, a program for social initiatives development of PresenTense and more. He lives in Abu Gossh.
