Tamar Perlstein Kashdan, journalist, Editor-in-Chief of Motzash, the society and culture magazine of Makor Rishon, a daily newspaper. The newspaper is owned by the Israel Hayom Group and is identified with the political right in Israel and with the Religious Zionist community. She began her work at the group as the magazine’s producer, later was appointed Deputy Editor, and from there advanced to Editor-in-Chief. In her role, she introduces coverage of issues that had not previously been featured in the newspaper, while also maintaining strict gender parity between male and female interviewees.
Previously, she worked at the Ma’aleh School of Television, Film and the Arts in alumni relations and public relations. Tamar holds a bachelor’s degree in Literature and Theater from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and studied screenwriting at the Ma’aleh School of Television, Film and the Arts. She lives in Jerusalem, is married, and is the mother of four.
