Atara Heffner, founder and professional director of the ‘Dance, Culture, and Art’ association, which operates a school for training dancers and the ‘Noya’ young dance troupe. She also serves as the choreographer and artistic director of the Haredi dance troupe ‘Neshima’, which is supported by the Ministry of Culture. She leads cross-sector collaborations and projects and volunteers to promote artists and cultural figures at the beginning of their careers. Atara is a graduate of the Wingate Institute in the field of dance instruction. She is a pioneer of Haredi dance, and her activities have led to a significant change in the Haredi community’s attitude towards the performing arts. She lives in Beit Shemesh, is married, and is a mother of four.
